Hosted by the FIORIA Institute, this in-person course introduces a pioneering, neuroscience-informed approach to self-perception and resilience through the lens of visual narrative. Drawing from over two decades of experience working with trauma survivors, we’ll share how intentional photography, movement, music, and guided reflection can help clients reshape their internal narrative from the inside out.

This experiential training equips therapists with adaptable tools for healing trauma and strengthening resilience-based identity.

Note: This course does not address gender or sexual identity. It is designed to support clients in rebuilding a grounded, resilient sense of self.

Course Format

  • Duration: 3 hours (in-person only)

  • Includes: interactive exercises, client testimonials, visual case examples, and live Q&A

  • CE Credit Eligibility: This course offers 3 instructional hours. A Certificate of Completion will be provided. Please consult your licensing board to confirm CE eligibility.

  • Therapist-Ready Tools: Participants will leave with neuroscience-informed exercises they can begin using in session.

This course is led by Me Ra Koh and Brian Tausend, co-founders of the FIORIA Institute—a Texas-based nonprofit combining neuroscience and visual storytelling. Together, they bring over 20 years of experience in photography and personal narrative work.

Me Ra has spoken nationally for 24 years on topics including inner healing, sexual assault recovery, and her own journey through mental health challenges. She is the author of six books. Together, she and Brian have created a transformative experience that draws clients from across the country—empowering them to visually reclaim their resilience and step into their greatness.
